How do I know if I need professional help?
Unpleasant emotions are a part of normal life. When they interfere with your health, work, relationships, or ability to enjoy your free time significantly it may be time to consult a professional.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 45-50 minutes long.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are conducted though online video or via telephone (NY and NJ) or in-person in Manhattan.
Do you accept insurance?

I work with all insurance companies as an out-of-network provider and will provide the necessary paperwork for patients to file for reimbursement.

To determine if your insurance company provides out-of-network benefits call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?
  • Do my benefits provide coverage for both in-person and teletherapy visits?

  • What is my deductible? Has it already been met?

  • How many sessions per year are covered by my plan?

  • How much is reimbursed for each therapy session?

  • ‍Is there an “allowable amount” for behavioral healthcare?
How many sessions will I need?
The length of treatment varies greatly depending on each person’s particular circumstances and presenting problems. My goal is to help you get through a challenging time in your life and teach you the skills to be able to be resilient in the face of future challenges.

Often, therapy is short-term and focuses on understanding and coping with temporary problems. Other times, therapy is more insight-oriented and open ended. Together we’ll come up with a plan that meets your needs. I can help you more deeply understand your life story, problematic patterns, and identify opportunities for growth.

What forms of payment do you accept?
You will need a credit card to schedule appointments with me, but I also accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, check or cash.
